Referendum in Sudan, as well as Kosovo’s proclamation of independence serve as precedents in the process of international recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh, Razmik Zohrabyan, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, said at today’s press conference.
He stressed that the Karabakh issue is closely linked to the 1915 Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire. “The Armenian nation lost Nagorno-Karabakh being weakened after the Genocide and could not protect its interests,” he noted.
