On January 16, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Baghdad.
The Turkish Minister will meet with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Anadolu agency reports.
Davutoglu will also hold meetings with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi and Iraqi political leaders, including Al-Iraqiyah Party Chairman Ayad Allawi, who is set to assume the presidency of Council of National Strategic Policies of Iraq.
Davutoglu’s visit will be the first after the new Iraqi government was formed last month. The Turkish FM and his delegation will leave for Syria after completing talks in Baghdad.
