Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili, Turkish Minister of transport and communications Binali Yildirim and Azerbaijani transport minister Zia Mamedov discussed the implementation of the project on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, January 27.

“The meeting focused the strategic importance of the simplification of border procedures and further steps of the railway construction,” Novosti Georgia reports.

The sides agreed to accelerate the project implementation.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will operate in 2013. The railway constructed bypassing Armenia is aimed at its isolation.
