The Armenian Government made a decision Feb. 3 removing China and India from the list of the states whose citizens need to get invitations in order to visit Armenia. Armenia approved the list in 2008. The list included 18 states.

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out that China and India are of interest to Armenia. Both states show a balanced approach to Armenia’s problems and register steady economic growth and huge trading capital. The Armenian foreign office believes strict visa requirements for Chinese and Indian citizens are not in line with the spirit of their relations with Armenia.
