The Egyptian revolution is not yet over, and the people will not leave Tahrir Square until all their demands have been met, the Arabist Yerband Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Their struggle will succeed. Although the people trust the military government, they are afraid the military may ignore their demands. That is why the demonstrators made the following demands on the military: dissolving the Parliament, invalidating the Constitution, forming a 5-member cabinet, with one representative of the military,” the expert said.

As to which political forces stand better chances to come to power, Minasyan said: “Islamists can be ruled out, especially so if they do not want to come to power. Liberals are most likely to come to power.”

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that Hosni Mubarak resigned as President of Egypt on Feb 11.
