The Armenian side always raises the issue on Stepanakert’s direct involvement in the Karabakh peace process, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan stated at Yerevan State University on February 22.
He stressed if Nagorno-Karabakh joins the negotiations in the last stage of the peace process, the talks are likely get a fresh start. According to him, though official Stepanakart is not a party to the talks, its viewpoint is taken into consideration in the negotiation process.
“Representatives of international organizations also stress the necessity for Karabakh’s full-fledged involvement in the negotiation process,” Ohanyan underscored. However, the Minister did not forecast when it may happen.
