The theater company in the village of Chaltyr, Myasnikovsky district, Rostov region, is marking its 10th anniversary this year.
The Yerkramas newspaper reports that a play based on the work entitled “Pepo” by the Armenian writer G. Sundukyan was staged in the Chaltyr volost, Rostov district of the Don Voisko Province.
Later the company staged many other plays. Three of the amateurs – Magda Gyurjyan, Abram Tankayan and Sargis Torpunjyan – became professional actor. Magda Gyurjyan is an Honored Actress of Armenia.
