An Azerbaijani youth activist, one of the creators of “March 11 – Greta People’s Day in Azerbaijan” page on Facebook, was arrested in the Azerbaijani city of Ganja.

Bakhtiyar Hajiyev was summoned to the police department where he was questioned about activities of his group. His lawyer Seadet Seyidli told RFE/RL, a court sentenced activist to a month imprisonment. He also said Hajiyev was tortured in police custody.

In his March 4 status on Facebook Hajiyev called on the Azerbaijani police “to make a right choice”. He was detained this January on charges of evading military service.
