Results of trilateral meeting between Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders are insignificant but certain movement is observed, said the Armenian expert.

Director of the Armenian branch of the Institute of CIS States Alexander Markarov told the journalists the sides are moving to peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

The expert stressed 2011 is a pre-election year for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, therefore the peace process will advance slower and will go ahead by small steps.

The sides are not ready for drastic steps, “Armenia never wanted war but is always ready for it. In its turn Baku acknowledges war will harm not only Armenia but Azerbaijan as well,” he added.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, the Armenian, Russian, Azerbaijani leaders adopted a join declaration on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the March 5 meeting in Sochi.
