Activists stormed Saudi Arabia’s consulate in the Iranian city of Mashhad protesting against sending Saudi forces to Bahrain, Iranian Fars news agency reports.
The protestors demanded that consulate should be closed and ambassador expelled from the country.
Thousand Saudi troops entered Bahrain under decision of the Gulf Cooperation Council after Manama requested assistance.
Arrival of foreign troops was sharply criticized by the Iranian authorities. Bahrain has recalled ambassador from Tehran.
