U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch rules out resolution of the Karabakh conflict by military means.

Talking to the journalists on Wednesday Yovanovitch said U.S. is closely cooperating with the OSCE Minsk Group partners – Russia and France, noting the mediators repeatedly stated the conflict should be solved through talks.

The U.S. Ambassador stressed the negotiations are held within the OSCE Minsk Group. The Co-Chairs have recently held meeting with the conflicting parties to maintain the momentum created in Sochi. She also stressed importance of progress in the peace process and avoiding new incidents in the line of contact.

Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders issued a joint statement after their meeting on March 5 in Sochi.
