Yerkir Union welcomes readiness of Free Georgia party to assist in solving the problems of Javakhk Armenians.

Leader of opposition Free Georgia movement Kakha Kukava expressed readiness to assist in solving problems of Javakhk Armenians and pledged his party will raise the issue on Vahagn Chakhalyan’s arrest.  

In a statement Yerkir Union called on all the political forces of Georgia to follow the lead to understand problems of the Armenian community. They urged to take efficient steps to solve problems of Javakhk Armenians in an atmosphere of tolerance, dialogue and mutual understanding.

Javakhk (Georgian name – Javakheti) is an Armenian-populated part of Georgia’s southeastern Samtskhe-Javakheti province.
