Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received on Thursday President of Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey.
His Holiness Karekin II appreciated Swiss President’s mediation efforts to normalize relations between Armenia and Turkey, the press service of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The sides discussed the Armenian Genocide issues as well. Karekin II noted the Armenian people remember with gratitude Switzerland’s assistance provided during the past events.
