YEREVAN. - At a press conference in Yerevan the members of the Armenian delegation to the CoE Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) confirmed that PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu would not give them the floor after Turkish Premier Recep Erdogan`s speech in Strasbourg.

The PACE president claimed the Armenian delegation was given the floor after the Turkish premier`s speech.

"Erdogan is spreading disinformation. I, as well as Zaruhi Bostanjan, a member of the Heritage parliamentary group, was deprived of the right to put a question to Erdogan. Our names were put at the bottom of the list of speakers. Later, the PACE Secretariat gave us a written explanation that it had been done by Cavusoglu`s order. The PACE Rules allow him to do it. The ARF-D member Armen Rustamyan was the only member of our delegation that was able to ask a question," said the delegation member Naira Zohrabyan.

Mevlut Cavusoglu behaves as a Turkish lobbyist rather than as PACE president, she added.

"But all his attempts to protect Erdogan from our questions failed. I met the Turkish premier in the corridor and said all that I wanted to right to his face. Furthermore, I gave him pictures of the children murdered during the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey early in the 20th century," Zohrabyan said.
