STEPANAKERT. – President of Nagorno-Karabakh Bako Sahakyan received a delegation of the European Union of Exiled and Expelled People led by head of the organization Massimiliano Lacota.

President Sahakyan gave appraisal of union’s efforts directed to recognition and condemnation of genocides, as well as protection rights of people who suffered from conflicts, considering it among pivotal directions of human rights protection.

Bako Sahakyan noted that humanitarian issues should not be politicized. He welcomed readiness of the guests to present the issues regarding refugees residing in Karabakh in different European structures.

Both sides noted that there are all opportunities and necessary potential for cooperation.

NKR foreign minister Georgy Petrosyan and other officials participated in the meeting.
