YEREVAN. - A film by Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami will open Golden Apricot International Film Festival held in Armenia, said festival program director Mikayel Stamboltsyan.

He recalled that Kiarostami’s “Copie Conforme” was included in the program of this year’s festival in Cannes. World famous Juliette Binoche won the Best Actress prize for her performance in “Copie Conforme”. 

The Golden Apricot festival held in Yerevan from July 10 to 17 will be closed by “Pina” documentary directed by Wim Wenders.

As of late May, the festival received over 600 applications from 57 countries, responsible for work with media Kristine Kyurklyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am
