YEREVAN. - Dramatic and positive breakthroughs are unlikely in the Karabkh conflict resolution unless Nagorno-Karabakh joins the negotiating table, Director of Oriental Studies Institute of Armenian National Academy of Sciences, expert in Turkic studies Ruben Safrastyan told a press conference in Yerevan on Wednesday.

“Currently Karabakh is not a party to the negotiations and no dramatic changes are expected in the negotiation process,” Safrastyan noted.

The expert emphasized that the sides are likely to sign another document, which will create more favorable conditions for further talks.

“It is not ruled out Azerbaijan’s belligerence will be reflected in the document,” he said.

Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia will meet in Tatarstan’s capital, Kazan on June 25.
