Following parliamentary elections Turkey will attempt to pursue neo-osmanism policy in the Middle East, Director of Oriental Studies Institute of Armenian National Academy of Sciences, expert in Turkic studies Ruben Safrastyan told reporters in Yerevan on Wednesday.

He stressed that Turkey goes no carrying out more independent policy, however it may lead to the isolation of Turkish diplomacy.

According to the expert, Turkish authorities spoke about intensification of their actions in Syria.

As regards Turkey’s policy on South Caucasus, it will hardly be intensive, as Ankara does not have potential to carry out policy both in the Middle East and the Caucasus.

However, it does not mean Turkey will give up its intention to act as a mediator in the Karabakh peace process.
