President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the highest state award of Ukraine - the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise

President Viktor Yanukovych awarded the Armenian leader during an official dinner on June 2.

President Sargsyan thanked the Ukrainian side for the warm reception and expressed satisfaction with the visit. The Armenian leader recalled great contribution of Viktor Yanukovych to the elimination of consequences of the devastating Spitak earthquake.

Commenting on the results of the official visit, Serzh Sargsyan said that they have once again confirmed mutual willingness to move the Armenian-Ukrainian relations to a new level.

“I am confident that this visit will help us open up new horizons and new scope of cooperation between Armenia and Ukraine in economy and politics. It will provide additional opportunities for direct human contact, strengthen friendship and mutual respect,” he said.
