YEREVAN. – Any change will hardly occur in the format of the OSCE Minsk peace process on Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution, director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan told on Monday.

“OSCE Minsk group is a steady format and the sides cooperate within its frameworks,” the expert said and added that changing the existing format will be an extreme nonsense. “As for EU, it really tries to be more active in Armenian and Azerbaijani relations. However, no changes may be expected in its format. It is another bubble in the process based on Azerbaijani dissatisfaction with the Minsk process. Moreover, Baku cannot change the situation.”

As for Russia’s active role in Karabakh conflict resolution, Russia has interests both in Armenia and Azerbaijan, he added.

OSCE Minsk group on Karabakh conflict resolution is co-chaired by Russia, France and U.S.
