YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov had phone conversation on Monday. They discussed various aspects of Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

The two officials stressed the actual realization of the agreement, which was reached during the meetings of Russian President Dmirty Medvedev with his counterparts Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev in Astrakhan (2010) and Sochi (2011). They also touched upon necessity of strict observance of the ceasefire regime, implementation of additional security and confidence-building measures on a reciprocal basis, and cooperation in investigating incidents, Russian FM informs.

Other issues were also discussed, such as humanitarian aid in creation of favorable atmosphere for the resolution of the conflict.

Armenian FM stated that Serzh Sargsyan will reply to Medvedev’s proposals on Karabakh conflict resolution in the near future.
