ISTANBUL. – Basketball player in Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball team Nurcan Ibrahimoglu, 19, was beaten as she wore shorts in public transport.

She set off home by bus following the trainings, Turkish Milliyet informs. A man got on bus at one of the stations. He started to beat her legs on seeing them in shorts. The girl demanded apology, but was beaten in response. The passengers could hardly release the girl from the man.  

Next day Nurcan turned to police. However, no one listened to her. Later she attended the doctor, who also denied prescribing conclusion on beating.
