Libya’s leader Muammar Gaddafi called on Libyans to take arms and fight against NATO in his Monday televised address to the nation.

On Sunday rebels said they are fully controlling the city of Az Zawiyah, 50 kilometres far from the capital, Tripoli. The forces loyal to Gaddafi were cut from road leading to Tunisia, Russian Vzglyad newspaper reported.

Civil war broke out in Libya this February. In March the UN Security Council adopted a resolution for international coalition under NATO command to launch military operation in the country.
