Ambassador Koray Targay of Turkey took office today as the new Head of the OSCE Office in Baku, organization’s official website reported.

“The OSCE Office in Baku has established a fruitful co-operation with the Government of Azerbaijan, political parties and civil society, which is essential to improving the country’s implementation of its OSCE commitments,” said Targay.

Prior to his appointment, Targay served as Turkish Ambassador to the Czech Republic.

Targay succeeds Ambassador Bilge Cankorel from Turkey, who left the Office in July of 2011.
