EU will allocate 2 million euro for development of democracy and human rights improvement in Azerbaijan, said head of the EU office in Baku Roland Kobia.

According to him, the amount will be distributed mainly through NGOs operating in Azerbaijan, SalamNews reported.

“Although they include some international NGOs, mostly there will be local organizations,” he said.

Kobia said the EU is holding dialogues with Azerbaijani Government on “on the daily development of democracy in Azerbaijan, improvement of human rights and freedoms.”
