YEREVAN. - Yerevan city Mayor Karen Karapetyan on Tuesday met with the delegation from the Canadian city of Montreal that arrived to Armenia for the Fifth Pan-Armenian Games.

The head of the delegation, the businessman-philanthropist Paul Pogos Gishian, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, gave Karapetyan a letter from Montreal Mayor Gerard Tramblay, reaffirming the strengthening of friendly ties between the two cities and promotion of long-term relationships, City Hall press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Speaking about the ongoing development programs in the capital, Yerevan Mayor stressed that Yerevan offers wide opportunities for investment projects and participation in various areas of the city’s economy.

"We expect serious cooperation rather than aid or charity. We want to create a bridge by which the business world will come to Yerevan," said Karapetyan.

Reflecting on the areas of the city economy, attracting business interest, Karapetyan stressed the serious steps made to ensure fair and favorable business environment for the investors.
