YEREVAN. - Karabakh is an established state and Azerbaijan’s claims in this regard get more and more absurd, military expert David Jamalyan told a briefing on Saturday.

He argues that sooner or later the former mother country, in this case Azerbaijan, will recognize the independence of its enclave.

“There are no other patterns for settlement of such conflicts. However, this also implies substantial changes in ethno-political standings of Azerbaijani society. As for today, it is not ready for it. First, Azerbaijani society has to realize that the settlement of the conflict in a military way is out of the question,” said the expert, adding that the Azerbaijani understand that in spite of official propaganda, Armenians are not that weak.
