YEREVAN. – Head Investigation Committee of Armenia’s Police Force on Tuesday launched a criminal case for the circulation of Armenian actress Anzhela Sargsyan’s intimate photos, sources informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

On September 17, experts from the Armenian Culture Ministry’s “Examination of Cultural Values” organization concluded that these photos, which were posted in the Internet, are of pornographic nature.    

According to publications in the press, Sargsyan’s ex-boyfriend Karen Arayan has posted these photos.

Anzhela Sargsyan became popular after her roles in the soap opera “Where is My Man?” (Armenian version of “Sex and the City”) and “The Normal Serial” (Armenian version of “Two and a Half Men”).

This development had brought forth a huge social reaction, as Sargsyan was married during her relationship with Arayan, and, once the photos were posted on the Internet, her co-actresses in the soap opera refused to co-act with her. Anzhela stopped acting since then, but plans to return in October.
