World Council of Churches Secretary General arrives in Yerevan to participate in

YEREVAN. – Delegation headed by Secretary General of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Olav Tveit arrived in Armenia by the invitation of Armenian Catholicos Karekin II. Holy See will host him on September 21-23.

The delegation on Wednesday participated in the military parade dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, Holy See press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

WCC SG will later pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian genocide. He will also meet representatives of ecumenical organizations and NGOs. Tveit will deliver lectures at Kevorkian Theological Seminary, Theological School of Sevan and Theological Faculty of Yerevan State University.
