YEREVAN. – There was a fight on Amiryan Street in downtown Yerevan. Two youth, Armen Galstyan, 24, and Varuzhan Hovhannisyan, 21, decided to “check” Armenian football fans. The boys began waving Macedonia’s flag and yelling “Macedonia,” on the street, Yerkir daily writes.  

‘“At first the passersby were looking at us hostilely and just passing, but seeing we were continuing to yell, a group of boys approached us and began pushing. They were already beating Varuzhan before we could explain.’ In any case, the boys were happy. ‘True, my friend was beaten, but we would have been disappointed if people had been in indifferent,’ Armen said while beaten-up Varuzhan did not want to speak,” Yerkir writes.
