Azerbaijan is building a stone defensive wall in the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Karabakh armed forces, Azerbaijani ANS PRESS news agency reports.

It is explained by the fact that “the residents of Azerbaijani villages located near the contact line, suffer from frequent violations of cease-fire.”

According to the agency, three-meter high wall built by the government is “to hedge residents of Azerbaijani villages from the Armenian bullets.”

Construction work started seven months ago. The wall will stretch from the village of Karvand through the territory of the villages of Tartar region with a total length of 2,700 meters.
