55th session of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Railway Transport Council will be held in the Armenian capital Yerevan, between October 28 and 29. This decision was reached during the Council’s previous session, which was held in Helsinki, from May 18 to 19.  

During the Yerevan session, the Council members are expected to specifically discuss the course of implementation of decisions reached during the previous session, train travel norms for 2012-2013, reciprocal calculation procedure among railway administrations, and international freight tariff policy.
