Lieutenant Colonel of Armenian military police suspected of taking bribe

YEREVAN.- Officers of military police at Armenian Defense Ministry detained a Lieutenant Colonel of military police on suspicion of taking a bribe.

Talking to the Armenian correspondent, spokesperson for Defense Ministry David Karapetyan confirmed the reports stressing that Lieutenant Colonel was detained for demanding money from soldier’s parents.

According to him, detention is a part of campaign on struggling against corruption launched by the Ministry. The name of the detainee is not disclosed.
