YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian on Thursday received UNICEF newly appointed representative Manja Henriette Ahrens, who presented her credentials.

Armenian FM congratulated her for the appointment and stated that Armenia praises high the activity of UNICEF for the protection of children’s rights and for the improvement of their health and life conditions, MFA press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The FM praised that UNICEF has had a serious contribution in the implementation of projects for the children since its foundation in 1994 in Armenia. Nalbandian stressed the fact that UNICEF adopted priorities presented by the Armenian government for its 2010-2015 projects.

Manja Henriette Ahrens thanked for warm reception and stated that Armenia has always paid attention to UNICEF and project implementation processes, while the office has always enjoyed support of the government.
