YEREVAN. - Ruling Republican Party of Armenia called a meeting of campaign office staff, writes Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper.

“Former Speaker of Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan, former Deputy Chief of President’s Staff Mikael Minsayan, Chairman of the Committee on State and Legal Affairs Davit Harutyunyan and Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan attended the meeting.

It’s noteworthy that the latter is not a party member and several weeks ago, when rumors were circulated about his dismissal, the then Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan stated that Gevorgyan would work with the election campaign staff and is likely to be appointed deputy head of staff,” the article says.
