YEREVAN. – Armenia’s athletes, trainers, coaches, sports physicians, and athletic organizations, which achieved a considerable success at the 2011 world and European championships, will be awarded a total of 61 million drams (US$ 159,215).

On Thursday, the Government decided to allocate this amount from the reserve fund.

To note, during the Government’s session on September 29, the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Arthur Petrosyan, had expressed a discontent over the Government’s demeanor toward the athletes. And in response, PM Tigran Sargsyan had promised that no champion would “evade” being awarded.
