YEREVAN. – Because of adverse weather conditions, the Ukrainian Aerosvit Airlines’ plane, which was en route from Kiev to Armenian capital Yerevan, had to land in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, which is normal, press secretary Nelly Cherchinyan of the General Department of Civil Aviation (GDCA) of Armenia told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In her words, however, by disregarding the international legal documents with respect to aviation, Aerosvit Airlines did not resolve on time the lodging and sustenance issues of one hundred passengers, who were waiting in Yerevan for this plane to travel to Kiev. Also, this was a charter flight for fourteen passengers, and, consequently, they were late for their other flights.

GDCA sent a formal letter to Aerosvit Airlines, demanding and explanation for what transpired.

The said flight will be carried on Monday at 6:20 p.m.
