YEREVAN. – Chairman of the World Armenian Congress and Russian-Armenian businessman Ara Abrahamyan was not in Moscow on the day of the parliamentary elections in Russia, that is, on December 4. He had left for US one or two weeks prior, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.

“Sophia, Abrahamyan’s assistant in Moscow, did not deny our information. [But] She did not want to comment on the information that Abrahamyan has some problems in Moscow, and that is why he headed to the United States. The assistant only informed that Abrahamyan will return to Moscow only after the New Year. So, he will not be in Moscow on December 21, and on that day the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund’s traditional Moscow banquet will take place, during which the Russian-Armenian businessmen make donations to the Fund,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
