ANKARA. – Turkish new textbooks on history contain expressions that escalate hatred towards Armenians.

Turkish Assyrian Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) MP Erol Dora stated that the new textbooks on history contain expressions of escalating hatred towards Armenians and Assyrians. Dora stated that the textbooks on history for the 10th grade, published by the Turkish Ministry of Education in 2009, violate human rights, Turkish Anadolu agency reports.

MP stated that he spoke with the Minister on the issue. The Minister also expressed concern adding that the textbooks were not published during his office time.
