YEREVAN. – Reflecting on the information disseminated in the press that garlic from Azerbaijan is being sold in Armenia, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) issued a clarification.
“We [hereby] inform that 48,110 tons of garlic was imported to Armenia, in January-November 2011, from the following countries: China, Georgia, [and] Greece. [And] With respect to the [Azerbaijani] garlic which appeared in the Armenian market, SRC is conducting a research into that fact, and it will additionally inform about the results,” SRC’s clarification specifically reads.
