WASHINGTON. – Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) made a statement on the adoption of the draft bill by the French Parliament, which intends criminal responsibility for the denial of the Armenian Genocide at the Ottoman Empire.

“The adoption of the draft bill on penalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide by the majority of voice at the French Parliament intensifies the increasing international consensus, as well as increases pressure on Turkey to conclude legal and fair decision on the Armenian genocide.

We mark the event and call President Obama to carry out his promise on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, as well as the Congress to put the 304 resolution to the vote for the recognition of the Armenian genocide,” the statement reads.
