Thieves in Italy stole Santa Claus’ bag full of presents, prior to the Christmas holidays, but this pricked their conscience, and they returned what they had stolen. 

What is more, aside from the stolen toys, there was also a note, in the bag, which read: “Forgive us, we have done wrong. We wish you a happy Christmas and New Year.”

The role of Santa was played by a local businessman, who had bought 1,000-Euro-worth of toys to make the children happy.

At first he was infuriated, hearing of the theft, but, later, he was very moved by the note. “This was a very touching gesture, which made me smile,” the businessman said, Il Messaggero informs.
