YEREVAN. – There are Armenian citizens in Kazbegi-Upper Lars checkpoint in Georgia, who headed to Russia through Georgia, but are currently stuck on the border de to bad weather conditions, Armenian MFA’s spokesperson Tigran Balayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Armenian Embassy in Tbilisi has contacted the local authorities and found out that there are 3 vehicles, 6 trucks and 1 bus with Armenian citizens.

Armenian News-NEWS.am had earlier informed that the checkpoint is closed since Monday. Poor visibility, conditioned by incessant precipitations, does not allow anti-avalanche service to observe and destroy the most dangerous points.
