Co-founder and chief executive officer of Yahoo Jerry Yang went quitted his post in the board of directors and all the positions occupied in the company.

He also left the board of directors of Alibaba Group, reads the company’s official message.

According to Yang, he is going to be engaged in new projects.

Yang founded the company with David Filo in 1994. The company provided search system and a wide range of services. It has more than 500 million users. The company’s headquarter is located in Sunnyvale city (California, U.S.).

In the 3rd quarter of 2011 the income of Yahoo amounted to 298 million dollars, which is almost 25 percent less as compared with last year’s indicator.
