YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia decided Thursday to allow the State Property Management Department to sell, to the Iranian Mellat Bank, the No. 2 Government Building’s 789.4 m2 non-residential area.   

The purchase deal is worth close to US$ 4 million. Also, the buyer will have the general shared ownership right to the land which the property occupies.    

But the Government’s decision to this effect also notes that when necessary, and if the given area is recognized eminent domain, the buyer will be offered an equivalent area in the capital Yerevan.   

To note, the Government’s decision also has two secret terms.
