YEREVAN. – Some progress is expected in Armenia-Iran railroad construction, Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan told the journalists on Wednesday adding the issue is the focus of the Armenian President.

“We cannot speak on concrete decisions as the parties are still working on it. More precise decisions will be available in two months,” Vardanyan said.

According to preliminary calculations, construction of the 470 km-long Armenia-Iran railroad will cost about $1.5 billion.
