YEREVAN. – In 2012, Armenia’s National Assembly (NA) is expected to adopt a law on industry, chairman Vazgen Safaryan of the Union of Domestic Goods Producers stated during a press conference on Monday.

In his view, this law is more likely to be adopted after the upcoming parliamentary elections, and by the newly formed NA.

As per Safaryan, this year Armenia could export industrial products worth 1.5 billion drams (approx. US$ 3,875,850), in comparison with last year’s 1.3 billion drams (approx. $ 3,359,070). But more ready-products must be included in the export.

Vazgen Safaryan also informed that Armenia’s copper concentrate export considerably grew in 2011 and reached 124-thousand tons.
