England and the whole world are celebrating the bicentennial of Charles Dickens, the great 19th-century writer, humanist, and a classic of global literature. 

The main festivities in honor of Dickens will be held in Portsmouth, England, where he was born.  

And marking Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday, Google has prepared a special doodle which depicts his famous fictional characters, such as Oliver Twist, and David Copperfield.
