YEREVAN. – Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan reprimanded MFA Chief of Staff during Thursday’s Government session.

“Mr. Nalbandian, instruct your Chief of Staff so that the applications are submitted beforehand this year,” the PM made such request of FM Edward Nalbandian, when the latter was presenting the matter of providing additional amounts to print entrance visas.

“Because this story repeats every year; we always place fewer orders [to print visas] than are necessary. We must carry out monitoring to rule out one source’s purchase from now on,” Sargsyan added.

To note, the 2012 State Budget does not envision any allocation for the printing of entrance visas for Armenia, and, as a result of issuing an unprecedented number of visas to foreign citizens, theses visas are now in very short supply.
