YEREVAN. – Law on Trade and Service amendments are rather PR moves than real changes, Star Supermarkets Network Executive Director Vahan Kerobyan told the journalists adding viewpoint of huge companies presenting the sphere were not considered while making amendments.

According to him, adoption of such a law is early for Armenia as civilized trade shares only 10-15% out of whole trade.

“The index is 95% in Sweden and 70% in Russia for comparison,” he told.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, the Armenian Government will establish standards to control the construction of supermarkets in public places. Armenian Ministry of Economy has developed a bill package on this regard.
